I turned 80 this year and I’m not here to sell you some fantasy about “staying forever young.” What I am here to do is tell you the truth about getting older the good, the bad, and the downright ridiculous – and how you can make the most of every single day you’ve got left. Why should you listen to me? For starters, I’ve been walking this road longer than most. I’ve been a licensed insurance agent since 1970 and hold the professional designations of ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant), REBC (Registered Employee Benefits Consultant), and CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter). I’ve spent more than five decades helping seniors navigate Medicare, retirement planning, and the financial and health challenges that come with age.
